Hotel-Neueröffnungen in New York City

Die nachfolgende Liste umfasst mehr als 200 Hotelobjekte, die seit Januar 2015 in New York eröffnet wurden oder momentan renoviert und erneuert werden. Von der Bronx bis hin zu Staten Island lockt die Stadt fortlaufend neue Luxushotels, Boutique- und Lifestyle-Marken, unabhängige und Kettenhotels in Größenordnungen von 14 bis 600 Zimmern an. Die Möglichkeiten für jeden Freizeit- oder Geschäftsreisenden sind enorm und es bestehen Auswahloptionen in jeder Preiskategorie und für jede Aufenthaltsdauer.

Heute liegt der Bestand an Unterkünften in New York bei über 112.000 Zimmern - und weitere 25.000 Zimmer sind zurzeit in kurz- bzw. langfristiger Planung. Seit Januar 2017 haben fünf neue Hotels insgesamt 1.100 neue Zimmer hervorgebracht. Das bekannte Waldorf Astoria hingegen ist aus Renovierungsgründen Ende Februar geschlossen. In 2017 haben bisher das „The Whitby Hotel in Midtown eröffnet, 1 Hotel eröffnete am Brooklyn Bridge Park und eine neue Hotelmarke RL in Brooklyn. Die Liste von 2016 beinhaltet außerdem Boutique- und unabhängige Hotels (The Bernic, The Beekman, 11 Howard), Hotels in Brooklyn (The William Vale, The Williamsburg Hotel) und eine Reihe an aufregenden Objekten in Queens (Wyndham Garden Hotel, Courtyard und aloft). Das Luxussegment wurde 2016 durch das neue Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown, The Beekman, und dem komplett neu renovierten umweltbewussten InterContinental New York Barclay erweitert. Die bekannte spanische Marke Riu Plaza hat im März sein erstes Hotel eröffnet und 647 neue Zimmer an den Times Square gebracht. Spanisch bleibt es auch mit einem Melia Hotel, dem Innside New York und dem Iberostar 70 Park Avenue. Das 28-stöckige Renaissance New York eröffnete in Manhattans Westen mit 348 neuen Zimmern.

In September, 2013 Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide announced plans to build this dual-hotel development in Flushing, Queens. In addition to meeting space, there will also be a joint fitness center and indoor swimming pool. The hotels will provide easy access to important attractions in Queens including The New York Hall of Science, the American Museum of the Moving Image, as well as Arthur Ashe Tennis Stadium and CitiField.
